SAFETY CERTIFICATES
Safety Certificates are required in Queensland prior to selling a car and the onus is on the person or Company selling the car to acquire the Certificate before advertising it for sale. The Inspection process is carried out by a Licensed Inspector and a booking is required prior to arrival.
New South Wales Inspection Blue slips/pink slips laws
Pink Slip, now known as an “e-safety check”: This is an annual inspection for cars over 5 year old, or if your renewal notice says “inspection required.” This check must be done before your registration can be approved.
A blue slip is required if you are selling the car without Rego, if you are re-registering your car from interstate, or if the rego has been expired for more than 3 months.
PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION
With any new car purchase you need to know what you are paying for. If you are unsure of what to look for or how to spot potential problems, the purchase of a car may end up costing you more than you expected.
Auto Leaders can provide an overview in a written report of the intended purchase outlining faults that are current or may occur.
